Amy Parkhurst is a fifth year Ph.D. Candidate in the Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Physiology Graduate Program at the University of California, Davis. She currently works in Dr. Fawaz Haj’s lab, with her research focusing on the metabolic implications of exposure to nanoplastics. Amy is currently a Fellow in the TL1 Clinical and Translational Science Program at UC Davis and has also received the American Association of University Women Dissertation Fellowship for the upcoming academic year.
