Dr. Tammy Scott is a clinical neuropsychologist and researcher specializing in the intersection of nutrition, aging, and cognitive health. She holds a Ph.D. in clinical and biological psychology from Yale University, where she also completed her M.S. and M.Phil. Her undergraduate studies were at Rutgers University. Dr. Scott completed her clinical residency in neuropsychology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Currently, Dr. Scott serves as a Research Assistant Professor at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University. Her research focuses on how nutrition and lifestyle behaviors influence brain health and cognitive aging. She is the neurocognition expert in several NIH- and foundation-funded clinical trials and observational studies, including the Nutrition and Memory in the Elderly study and the Boston Puerto Rican Health Study. Her work contributes significantly to the field of nutritional neuroscience, particularly in understanding how dietary and lifestyle factors influence brain health in aging populations.
