Dr. Andrea Arango Angarita is a Nutritionist-Dietitian from the National University of Colombia, with a Master’s in Public Health and a Ph.D. in Population Nutrition Sciences from the School of Public Health of Mexico (INSP-ESPM). She is a researcher at the Center for Research in Evaluation and Surveys (CIEE). She also serves as Deputy Director of Intelligence and Information at the National Public Health Service in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Since 2016, she has contributed to the analysis and processing of dietary data from Mexico’s National Health and Nutrition Surveys (ENSANUT). Her academic work includes multiple peer-reviewed publications, technical reports, manuals, and book chapters. She has also held research fellowships at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain) and the University of Auckland (New Zealand). Her main areas of expertise and interest include diet quality, healthy and sustainable diets, food systems, food insecurity, childhood obesity, and food environments.
