Laura Robinson is a PhD candidate in Nutritional Sciences at Auburn University, where her research focuses on how diet and supplementation affect physiological, psychological, and epigenetic outcomes in obese older adults. As a Registered Dietitian with dual master’s degrees in Nutrition and Exercise Science, Laura has contributed to clinical and observational research on gastrointestinal health, dietary interventions, and wellness in nursing students and military veterans. She has published in BMJ Military Health, Geriatric Nursing, and Nursing Reports, and presented her work at national and regional conferences. She is the recipient of several research awards, including the Williams Graduate Fellowship and the Auburn University Graduate Poster Award, and has contributed to grant-funded work supported by the The Dairy Alliance, BrickHouse Nutrition, and the AU Mission Enhancement Fund. Laura is particularly interested in advancing women's health and disease prevention and hopes to center her future research on nutritional strategies to support women across the lifespan. Her prior service in the U.S. Coast Guard has shaped her commitment to bringing a diverse perspective and a translational focus to her research in nutrition science.
