Alexandria Pezzano is a Human Nutrition and Food Science student at North Carolina A&T State University, with a focus on metabolic health and disease prevention. Her current research investigates the effects of garlic scape extract on intestinal glucose transporters in Caco-2 cells, with the goal of identifying natural interventions for postprandial hyperglycemia. Passionate about reducing health disparities, Alexandria aims to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant specializing in nutrition-centered care for underserved populations.
