Guelph, Ontario, Canada
Connor is a fourth-year PhD candidate at the University of Guelph in the lab of Dr. David Ma in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. His research takes an exploratory approach to understanding the role of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in the mouse mammary gland. Today, he is sharing recent findings that demonstrate how n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids influence Notch3 protein expression in mouse mammary epithelial cells, using integrated approaches involving genetic mouse models and flow cytometry. Motivated by family history, Connor’s work aims to generate novel insights that could inform future strategies for the prevention of breast cancer.
