Samuel Selorm Attu is a Ph.D. student in Human Nutrition at the University of Arkansas, focusing on aging and chronic diseases. He holds a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and an M.Phil. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from KNUST, Ghana. His research integrates clinical and community-based approaches, with expertise in ELISA, phlebotomy, and dietary assessments. Selorm has authored peer-reviewed publications addressing hydration, diet, and health risks and recently presented his findings on omega-3 and protein supplementation at ObesityWeek 2024, earning a Doctoral Student Presentation Travel Grant.
He has served as a field supervisor for nutrition and livelihood interventions and supported national dietary guideline projects in Ghana. Currently a Senior Graduate Assistant, he mentors students and contributes to research on chronic disease prevention. Outside academia, Selorm enjoys creating healthy versions of traditional Ghanaian meals and is committed to advancing public health through evidence-based nutrition.
