Rami S.Najjar holds a PhD in Chemistry with a Concentration in Nutritional Sciences obtained from Georgia State University (Atlanta, GA, USA). His major research interests revolve around understanding the role of plant-based diets in treating cardiovascular diseases utilizing molecular approaches. He is currently a USDA--funded postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Biomedical Sciences at Georgia State University. He has both clinical and basic science research experience, and currently has 17 first-author publications.
