Matthew Landry is an Assistant Professor of Population Health and Disease Prevention at the University of California, Irvine. After earning his Bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University, Matthew completed his doctoral degree in nutritional sciences and dietetic internship at The University of Texas at Austin. He then completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Stanford University Prevention Research Center in cardiovascular disease prevention. His research focuses on promoting food and nutrition security and preserving cardiovascular health across the lifespan. Combining his expertise as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional, he ensures his research translates into practical solutions for sustainable dietary change. His contributions to the field have earned him recognition as the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Young Dietitian of the Year and the Obesity Society Ethan Sims Young Investigator Award. He also has been recognized as a Fellow of both the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Heart Association.
