Dr. Daniel Traylor earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion from Appalachian State University, where he received a full athletic scholarship for his participation on the varsity football team. He completed his Master of Science degree in Sports Medicine at Armstrong State University, which is part of Georgia Southern University, and obtained his Ph.D. in Food Technology, completing his doctoral studies at both the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Clemson University.
Daniel has authored 41 peer-reviewed scientific papers in the fields of nutrition science and human exercise physiology. He served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University for four years, focusing on protein metabolism and conducting research on innovative nutrient delivery systems for muscle recovery.
Currently, his research centers on testing the effectiveness and efficacy of novel food products designed to support lifestyle medicine programs. He also teaches courses in Health Sciences, Sports Nutrition, and Exercise Physiology. He has a keen interest in studying the effects of diet and exercise on body composition and physical function.
