Postdoctoral Researcher
U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine
I serve a postdoctoral fellowship jointly appointed by the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine and Pennington Biomedical Research Center. My studies focus on reasons for and countermeasures to prevent declines in iron status in military and athletic populations. Broadly, I am interested in applied nutrition research with the dual purposes of 1) enhancing the performance and health of athletes and military personnel and 2) translating findings to solve broader issues in human health.
