PhD Candidate
Oklahoma State University
I am Gopal Lamichhane, a PhD candidate in Nutritional Sciences at Oklahoma State University, where I focus on the effects of curcumin and cannabinoid receptor modulation in the context of metabolic and aging-associated disorders. With an MS in Pharmacy from Wonkwang University (South Korea) and a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Pokhara University (Nepal), I have over eight years of research experience in natural products, nutritional interventions, and disease models. My work spans in vitro, animal, and clinical studies, and I have authored more than 20 peer-reviewed articles and 9 book chapters. Currently, I’m leading multiple research projects, including a clinical trial on curcumin’s impact on glucose homeostasis and gut health in older adults. I’ve been honored with the ASN Young Investigator Award and am committed to mentoring the next generation of scientists in molecular and nutritional research.
