Yijun Zou is a graduate student in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Her recent research uses data from the 2017-2020 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) to explore demographic and socioeconomic predictors of adherence to a moderate carbohydrate diet (MCD) in patients with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. Yijun's analysis revealed significant gender, education, and ethnic differences in dietary adherence, highlighting the role of behavioral and structural determinants in diabetes nutritional management. Her research aims to provide a reference for the development of personalized interventions for dietary adherence and metabolic outcomes in different populations across different cultural backgrounds.
