Asma Ahmadani is a PhD candidate in Nutritional Sciences at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, UAE University. Her research investigates the impact of dietary zinc modulation on microbial dysbiosis, inflammation, and behavioral symptoms in mouse models of autism. She has published extensively in high-impact journals such as Nutrition Research Reviews and Nutrients, covering key topics including zinc ion dyshomeostasis, gut microbiota, and feeding behavior in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Asma has presented her research at leading scientific conferences, including the Canadian Nutrition Society. In addition to completing the Graduate Students’ Teaching Academy Program, she brings hands-on teaching experience as an assistant lecturer and teaching assistant, contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate education. Her academic contributions reflect a strong commitment to advancing research and education in nutritional neuroscience and ASD.
