Kenny Westerman is a computational scientist with an interest in precision lifestyle recommendations for the prevention of cardiometabolic diseases. Kenny received his PhD in Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition from Tufts University, with a dissertation focused on the prediction of cardiovascular disease risk by integrating genomics, epigenomics, and dietary data. Now an Instructor at Massachusetts General Hospital, he develops methods and workflows for large-scale gene-environment interaction analysis, including on cloud computing platforms. His current projects aim to apply these tools in biobanks and cohort datasets to uncover novel gene-lifestyle interactions and develop molecular predictors of personalized response to diet and other lifestyle factors.
