Cultural Heritage and Identity through Food And Nutrition
Eric Wang, MS, grew up in Westchester County, NY before moving to NYC, where he attended the College of Arts and Science (CAS) at New York University, having graduated in 2021 with a BA in Biochemistry and a Minor in Mathematics. After graduating, he pursued an MS in Human Nutrition at Columbia University, receiving his degree in 2022, and worked as an education assistant and clinical research coordinator at Columbia and Mount Sinai Morningside, respectively. During that same timeframe, he also helped found what would eventually become the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Cultural Heritage and Identity through Food And Nutrition (CHIFAN), which focuses on delivering culturally relevant nutrition education to NYC youth. Currently, he is an MS3 with a specialty interest in dermatology.
