Kellie is a PhD Candidate at New York University (NYU) and registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). Her research focuses on building health equity surrounding diabetes management among Hispanic and Latino adults, including the use of functional foods. She currently serves as Graduate Nutrition Advisor and Adjunct Professor for the MS Nutrition & Dietetics Program at NYU while she continues to work as an RDN. Her recent published papers include the prevalence of functional food use among Hispanic and Latino adults with type 2 diabetes and addressing strategies for building health equity for underserved populations.
