Dr. Elena Naumova is Professor of Mathematics in the Nutrition Epidemiology and Data Science Division, Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, Tufts University, Boston, MA, USA. She is an expert in analytical methods for spatio-temporal and longitudinal data, with applications in disease surveillance, environmental epidemiology, nutrition, and growth. Her interdisciplinary research spans emerging and climate-sensitive infections, seasonality of malnutrition, and the integration of environmental and health data from diverse sources, including satellite imagery and global databases. She has extensive expertise in AI and data science, applying advanced computational tools to address complex public health challenges. As Director of the NIH-funded Tufts Initiative for Forecasting and Modeling of Infectious Diseases (InForMID), she has led international research teams and training programs in global health, data science, food, and nutrition. She serves on multiple editorial boards and research panels, promoting data sharing, quality assurance, and information security, and is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Public Health Policy. Dr. Naumova is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the International Statistical Institute (ISI).
