Manoela Lima Oliveira, PhD, MS, RDN, LDN is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Health and Human Phisiology at the University of Iowa. Manoela's predoctoral dissertation work investigated the relationship between modifiable risk factors associated with Early-Onset Colorectal cancer development. Specifically, she investigated the impact that obesity and chronic psychosocial stress has on weight, serum cortisol, microbiome and gut inflammation. She is interested in the interplay between diet, environmental stressors and its impact in the gut microobiome among young adullts.
