Sterling L. Wright, PhD, is a postdoctoral scholar at Arizona State University in the College of Health Solutions and the Biodesign Institute. His research focuses on the relationship between the human microbiome, early-life nutrition, and health outcomes, with particular interest in how lifestyle factors such as sleep, feeding practices, and caregiver behaviors shape the gut and oral microbiomes during infancy and childhood. Dr. Wright integrates microbiome science with developmental and nutritional epidemiology to better understand the early origins of health and disease, including risk factors for obesity and neurodevelopmental outcomes. He is committed to interdisciplinary, data-driven research that bridges microbiology, public health, and nutrition science.
