Dr. Roger A. Clemens is part-time faculty within the University of Southern California Regulatory and Quality Sciences program where he enjoys adjunct appointments as Professor of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Assistant Professor of Regulatory and Quality Sciences within the USC Mann School of Pharmacy for the past 25 years where he is responsible for courses in food and drug toxicology, food science, regulations of foods and dietary supplement, and chemical manufacturing controls. He also developed and facilitates graduate nutrition courses in the Global Medicine program within the USC Keck School of Medicine. He enjoys an adjunct appointment in the College of Law at Michigan State University. He recently served as a panel manager for an USDA research program and is currently a member of the FDA working group for Operation Stork Speed. He is a Fellow in the American Society for Nutrition, American College of Nutrition, Institute of Food Technologists, and International Academy of Food Science and Technology (IAFoST). Dr. Clemens serves on several medical/scientific editorial boards and is a reviewer for >25 journals, including but not limited to the Journal of Nutrition, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, and Current Developments in Nutrition.. Dr. Clemens is well-published (> 80 original manuscripts and commentaries), has more than 140 columns on food, medicine, and health, has authored several book chapters at the nutrition and health interface, and on food regulations, has been interviewed by the press > 500 times, and has provided > 300 invited lectures on the global stage.
