Dr. Monica Agarwal is an endocrinologist, obesity medicine specialist, and nutrition specialist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a professor of medicine at UAB, the director of the UAB Obesity Medicine Fellowship Program, and the co-director of the Clinical Skills and Integrated Skills Program (CRISP). She is the Parenteral Nutrition Specialist and MOVE Physician Champion at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. She is the Chair of The Obesity Society (TOS) Education Committee and board member of the Nutrition Board for Physician Nutrition Specialists (NBPNS). She has served on several national committees at the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), The Obesity Society (TOS), the American Society of Nutrition (ASN), and the American Society of Parenteral and enteral nutrition (ASPEN).
