Shalene McNeill, PhD, RDN, is Executive Director of Nutrition Science, Health, and Wellness at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, where she has directed over $30 million in nutrition research funding to enhance understanding of beef’s role in healthy and sustainable food systems. As a leading expert on beef in the human diet, she advises beef cattle farmers and ranchers on nutrition research priorities and is frequently invited to speak at scientific and public forums. Dr. McNeill also serves as a resource for national and trade media. She is the current Sustaining Partner Chair for the American Society for Nutrition and an active volunteer for youth-focused agricultural development programs. Dr. McNeill holds a B.S. in Biomedical Science and a Ph.D. in Human Nutrition from Texas A&M University and is a registered dietitian nutritionist.
