Dr. Leanne Redman is a Professor of Clinical Science and Associate Executive Director for Scientific Education at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. She is also the Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology/ Women's Health Laboratory and Director of the Pennington/Louisiana NORC. The goal of her research is to understand the intergenerational transmission of obesity and to promote healthy aging across the lifespan. She is well-known for her involvement in the CALERIE trial and most recently for her work in pregnant women and infants and now the Nutrition for Precision Health consortium. Dr. Redman has published more than 200 works on nutrition, exercise, pregnancy and healthy aging. She also is known to many as being an inspirational, thoughtful, and enthusiastic mentor and in 2021 was named the Obesity Society's, Thomas A. Wadden Distinguised Mentor Award. In addition, she is this year's 2025 ASN E.V. McCollum Award recipient.
