Abbott Nutrition
I am a Nutrition Scientist, Registered Dietitian, and Mother to two young children, one of whom is medically complex. Currently I work at Abbott Nutrition on innovation for Similac with human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) internationally and regionally in Latin America.
I have published 10 peer-reviewed publications – most recently a review article on the research on HMOs in infants. I especially enjoy conducting research, medical writing, managing projects, and learning new things.
My education includes a BS in Dietetics and a combined MS and dietetic internship in Clinical Nutrition at Boston University and a PhD in Nutritional Biology with a minor in Endocrinology at the University of California, Davis. Before Abbott, I worked as a Clinical Dietitian at my dietetic internship site and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and held postdoctoral positions conducting research in cardiovascular nutrition at Tufts University and The Ohio State University.
Ultimately, I aspire that my work in the nutrition field will contribute to the nutrition education of healthcare professionals and consumers.
