Graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Food Science & Human Nutrition and an M.S. in Food Science, *cum laude*. Melissa began her career at ACH Foods, contributing to the patented Weber Grill non-flammable spray, and went on to develop frozen foods and dips at King & Prince Seafood. At Tate & Lyle, she spent five years in Technical Service advancing ingredient innovation, followed by leading Innovation & Technical Services at Batory Foods, where she launched the Batory Sweet Essentials sugar replacement ingredient line. Now Director of R&D at NURA USA, Melissa leads a team delivering technical support, formulation troubleshooting, and functional ingredient strategy. She created Nura’s R&D Formulation Services program and focuses on developing clinically backed functional ingredients for food, beverage, and supplement applications.
