Tanvi Kale is a PhD Student-Research Assistant at the Obesity and Metabolic Health Lab, Department of Nutritional Sciences, Texas Tech University. Tanvi obtained her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Biotechnology from Pune University, India. Her Master's thesis was based on 'Therapeutic activity of Plectranthus amboinicus in Type II Diabetes'. After graduation, Tanvi worked as a Research Intern in the Immunobiology and Molecular Research Laboratory at Serum Institute of India Pvt Ltd. and as a Junior Editorial Advisor at Springer Nature, India. She joined Texas Tech University in the Fall of 2023 and began pursuing her PhD under Dr. Nikhil Dhrandhar's guidance and Dr. Vijay Hegde. She is working on the pre-clinical development of an anti-diabetic drug- Insparin. Tanvi volunteers at the Nutrition and Metabolic Health Initiative (NMHI), Department of Nutritional Sciences, Texas Tech University. Her research interests include Obesity, Diabetes, Cancer, and Drug Development.
