Nutritionist and Dietitian from the National University of Colombia with a strong academic background in public health and nutrition. She holds master’s degrees in Public Health from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, and Health Sciences from NIHES, and a PhD in Public Health from Erasmus University, the Netherlands. Her doctoral research focused on the socioeconomic inequalities driving excess weight in low- and middle-income countries and the impact of poverty reduction policies on child health and nutrition. Currently, she is a researcher at Finis Terrae University, focusing on health inequalities, nutrition, and non-communicable disease risk factors. She is a visiting scholar with Harvard’s Bernard Lown Scholars in Cardiovascular Health Program. Her research aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 2 (Zero Hunger), 3 (Health and Well-being), and 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
