My research focuses on understand the relationship between food cue reactivity, eating behavior, and health. I utilize technologies like functional magnetic resonance imaging, immersive virtual reality, and smartphone tracking to assess and intervene on eating behaviors in a variety of contexts. My lab is well known for its work on digital food marketing and the new popular concept of “food noise”, a heightend form of food cue reactivity, which is related to new weight loss medications like GLP-1 agonists.
