Kristen Pin-Chun Yang, MS, RD, Ph.D., is a global health and nutrition scientist with over a decade of interdisciplinary experience in clinical care, community-based interventions, and policy research. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Health with a focus on Global Health from Oregon State University and is a licensed registered dietitian. Her research addresses child and maternal malnutrition, Indigenous health equity, food insecurity, and chronic disease prevention across Taiwan, India, and the United States. Dr. Yang has led randomized community nutrition trials in urban Indian slums, collaborated on national dietary guideline revisions in Taiwan, and currently leads postdoctoral research focused on Austronesian Indigenous communities, integrating AI-driven health surveillance and culturally grounded dietary interventions. She is also an experienced educator and study abroad program leader, mentoring students in global nutrition, public health ethics, and Indigenous health systems. Her work reflects a strong commitment to advancing health equity through participatory research, culturally tailored strategies, and translational science.
