Dr. Sneij earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL, her master’s and doctorate degrees in Dietetics and Nutrition at Florida International University in Miami, FL. She completed her dietetic internship at the Miami Veterans Affairs Hospital and currently practices as a registered dietitian within the context of nutrition research. Dr. Sneij is a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Her research focus is to improve dietary habits in persons with spinal cord injury who have an increased risk for cardiometabolic dysfunction.
