Graduate Student
The Pennsylvania State University
I am a doctoral student in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at Pennsylvania State University, with a strong passion for promoting healthier lifestyles and reducing the burden of diet-related chronic diseases, particularly among underserved populations. I hold a First-Class Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and a Master’s in Human Nutrition, with academic and research experiences centered on community-based interventions and behavior change. My work integrates innovative, participatory strategies to encourage healthy dietary and lifestyle practices among children and adolescents. I have contributed to several high-impact, population-based studies in Nigeria, including the Ibadan Kids Nutrition and Health Survey (Nestlé Switzerland) and the National Food Consumption and Micronutrient Survey (IITA/UNICEF), building expertise in dietary assessment, data analysis, monitoring and evaluations, and research. As a former faculty member at Lead City University, Nigeria, I have supervised multiple undergraduate research projects, some of which have been published in peer-reviewed journals. I remain committed to advancing evidence-based nutrition interventions that inform public health policy and improve health outcomes in vulnerable communities.
