Dr. Olouwafemi Mistourath MAMA holds an Engineering degree in Food Industries from the Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique of Dakar (ESP/UCAD). She continued her academic journey at the University of La Rioja in Spain, supported by a scholarship from the “Mujeres por África” Foundation, where she earned a Master’s degree in Chemistry and Biotechnology, followed by a Ph.D. in Biomedical and Biotechnological Sciences. Dr. MAMA currently serves as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor accredited by CAMES in Food Technology at Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD), Senegal, within the Department of Animal Biology at the Faculty of Science and Technology. She is an active member of the Laboratory for Research in Nutrition and Human Food (LARNAH), where her research focuses on complementary feeding, the valorization of local food products, the improvement of food environments, the relationship between gut microbiota and malnutrition, and food and nutrition safety, adopting a “One Health” approach.
