University of California, Davis
I'm a Masters student under the Nutritional Biology Graduate Group at the University of California, Davis. I received my Bachelor's of Science in animal science with a minor in nutrition science. My current research focuses on determining the health effects of animal-derived products through feeding murine models beef and pork fats. I'm interested in investigating how differences in fatty acid composition and fatty acids unique to animal products affect obesity and diabetes. My personal objective is to be a bridge between animal agriculture and human nutrition through studying meat and dairy products's implications on consumer health and how feeding strategies in livestock can alter fat composition and meat quality.
