Dr. Nimian Nayeli Teran Ramirez is an international medical graduate with a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition. Her thesis research, completed in Nicaragua, examined the “Effects of Intermittent Fasting Compared to Caloric Restriction in Patients with Metabolic Syndrome Aged 20–70 at the Oscar Danilo Rosales Arguello Teaching Hospital (HEODRA) in 2023.” The purpose of the study was to evaluate the impact of these dietary strategies on metabolic health. Dr. Teran Ramirez designed and led the intervention, providing individualized diets and nutritional counseling to participants. She aims to publish her findings and hopes to continue research in this area to support evidence-based nutrition practices, especially in underserved communities.
