Vanessa Cardino is a nutritional epidemiologist completing her Human Nutrition Ph.D. at Michigan State University. She has expertise in studying the relationships between nutrient deficiencies and developmental outcomes among children with perinatal HIV infection in low-middle-income countries. Ms. Cardino is also involved in service work, teaching scholarship, and mentorship. Following completion of her Ph.D., she hopes to finish a postdoctoral program and work at a foundation to help fund global public health nutrition research.
