Fred Addo is a graduate student at the University of Rhode Island with a research focus on precision nutrition and diet-disease relationships. He is currently completing his thesis titled " Association between dietary sodium and potassium intakes, urinary sodium and potassium excretion, and blood pressure among adult females in Oromia Region, Ethiopia." His work compares multiple dietary and biochemical assessment methods-including weighed food records, duplicate diets, and 24-hour and spot urines samples-using the duplicate diet as the reference method. He also examines the associations between blood pressure and each assessment approach. Passionate about advancing public health nutrition in underserved populations, He will be presenting his findings to contribute to the evidence base on dietary sodium and potassium intake and cardiovascular health in low-reseource settings.
