Leandra A. Lacayo, MPH is a doctoral student in Nutrition and Health Sciences at Emory University, where her research focuses on preventing cardiometabolic diseases through implementation science. Her dissertation examines the sustainable implementation of Produce prescription (PRx) programs to inform policy and funding decisions that support long-term integration of PRx program initiatives in healthcare systems. A recipient of the American Society for Nutrition Foundation Scholarship for Underrepresented Groups, she is currently working to improve client-centered strategies within PRx programs. At the conference, she is presenting a poster exploring healthcare and agricultural stakeholder perspectives on the barriers and facilitators to implementing a PRx program in Atlanta. A first-generation college student, Leandra serves as Volunteer Chair for the Nutrition and Health Sciences program and sits on the Doctoral Student Advisory Board for the Rollins School of Public Health. She enjoys cooking, traveling, visiting farmers markets, and reading.
