Assistant Extension Professional
University of Missouri - Extension
I am an Assistant Extension Professional with University of Missouri Extension, where I develop, lead, and support nutrition and physical activity programs tailored for rural communities across Missouri. My work emphasizes education, connection, and community-driven change, including policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) strategies that help make the healthy choice the easy choice.
I am also a third-year PhD student in Biomedical and Health Informatics at the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC). As part of my doctoral training, I serve as a student intern with Children’s Mercy, where I contribute to research on childhood nutrition and the social, behavioral, and environmental factors that influence children's dietary habits and overall health.
With a strong interest in health equity and data-driven public health strategies, I strive to bridge community engagement with informatics research to improve health outcomes, particularly in underserved populations.
