Texas Woman's University’s Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences focuses on roles of nutrition and foods in health, disease prevention, and treatment through innovative programs and experiential learning. We cover areas such as culinary science, product development, exercise, chronic diseases, and sensory evaluation. Undergraduate programs include a BS in Food and Nutrition in Business and Industry, BS in Nutrition (with tracks in dietetics, nutritional sciences, and community nutrition), and a BAS in Culinary Science and Food Service Management. Graduate programs include an MS in Nutrition, MS in Exercise and Sports Nutrition, MS in Food Science and Flavor Chemistry, and a PhD in Nutrition. The MS programs in Nutrition are available both in person and online. Our tuition and fees are relatively affordable. Our 16 full time faculty in both Denton (in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex) and Houston are dedicated to the highest level of teaching and research to support student success.
